I had this kid in my class come up to me today and he's pretty random and says off the wall things most of the time but is a pretty normal kid. He comes up to me and says, "Hey Mrs. Doyel, guess what?"
"What?"
"Guess how long you've been teaching?"
I'm thinking, is this a joke he's trying to tell? So I say, "how long?"
His reply, "you've already taught for 3 years!"
My reply, "yes, this is my 4th year teaching."
And with that, he went back to his seat and kept working!
I kind of think I'm lucky to get to hang out with these random, kind of weird kids all day. It's like I really do have 15 children of my own!
